Writing articles about your business is something that should come rather naturally to you. You would have a great deal of knowledge about your business and this can supply an almost bottomless pit of topics that you can cover. These articles can do wonderful things for your business, its reputation and of course your sales. Let us examine some of these factors.

Writing articles can build the relationship between you and your potential customers. Relationships are very important in business because people will buy from someone with whom they have a relationship before they will buy from someone else. Of course, another word for relationship can be trust. Over a course of several articles, you build trust with people which in turn builds relationships. People will feel that they know you and will certainly see how you think and how helpful you are to them through your articles.

You are in business because you hold a level of information about your business that customers do not have. You can share this information with your existing and potential customers alike through the articles you write. It does not matter what business you are in, you have helpful information you can provide. If you are not sure what it is, then ask some of your existing customers what they would like more information about and then set about writing the articles.

Articles can also build the profile of your website. You should attempt to distribute your articles as far and wide as possible. By using the Resource Box at the foot of the article, you generate a back link to your site. Google plays a high value on these links when assessing whereabouts you appear on the search engine listings. Make sure that you always use good anchor tags in your article as well as a specific URL. Perhaps I should explain that one.

If you are in the business of selling Go Carts for example, you need to wrap the words Worlds Best Go Carts or similar within the links to your site. That way the search engines know what the site is all about. You also need to remember however to include the absolute URL reference as well in your Resource Box which would be your domain name preceded by http://. The reason for this is that many articles get republished elsewhere and this can be a great thing for you. However, often the articles are copied and pasted and do not pick up the anchor links so by including the http:// reference, your URL at least is preserved.

The two most important things to remember when writing articles is to make the article informational. Under no circumstances should you be trying to sell in your articles. Remember the purpose of the article is to build trust, relationships and credibility for you and your business. The second most important thing to remember is that if you are submitting your article to Article Directories is to ensure your Resource Box has the correct links.

Once your article is completed it is time to get some exposure. The first and most obvious place is on your own website. Of course you do not have your Resource Box in an article on your own website. There are several places you can submit articles which can gain you traffic, back links and exposure for your site. Always submit to Ezine Articles as they provide great exposure. You can also obtain a free article submitter from Article Friendly Forum which will give you access to hundreds of sites and you should also publish your article on your local Cagora world or World of Interest.

So, in summary you need to write informational articles to build the trust, credibility and relationships you have with your potential and existing customers. Your articles need to have a detailed Resource Box if they are to be published on Article Sites. You should publish your articles as far and wide as possible to gain the maximum number of back links for your site and exposure for your business.
